Tangerang Regency Government Prohibits State Civil Apparatus From Going Abroad To Avoid Transmission Of COVID-19
TANGERANG - The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) forbids state civil servants (ASN) within the scope of government to travel abroad. This is done to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
Tangerang Regent, Ahmed Zaki Iskandar said the regulation was contained in Circular (SE) Number: 800/213-BKPSDM concerning Restrictions on Traveling Overseas Activities for State Civil Apparatus Employees during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic in the Environment. "Travel activities during the pandemic are considered to have the potential to increase transmission and increase cases," said Zaki in his statement, Friday, January 28.
In the prohibition, there are also exceptions, such as overseas official travel (PDLN) with a record of obtaining a letter of assignment signed by the official of the staffing officer or authorized official.

"Even if there is a PDLN, employees must follow the existing rules. We are obliged to comply with the quarantine implementation policy and the mandatory COVID-19 inspection," he said.
Even though there are exceptions, Zaki reminded ASN who still have to carry out PDLN in order to continue to comply with health protocols (prokes) when traveling abroad.
"The sanction is clear, disciplinary punishment is in accordance with the provisions in Government Regulation Number 94 of 2018 concerning Management of Government Employees with Work Agreements," said Zaki.
