JAKARTA - The latest Work Relationship Index (WRI) report from HP reveals that only 28% of the knowledge workers in Indonesia have relationships with healthy jobs.

However, in the midst of these challenges, optimism for technology remains high, where 89% of employees in Indonesia believe that artificial intelligence (AI) can improve their quality of life and work experience.

"Based on our survey, 90% of Indonesian employees already use Gen AI (AI generative)," said President Director of Hewlet Packard (HP) Indonesia, Juliana Cen at the launch of the Work Relationship Index (WRI) on Tuesday, October 28 in Jakarta.

The study, which involved more than 18,000 respondents in these 14 countries, saw that Indonesia was also leading the region in AI adoption, with 94% of knowledge workers having used AI and 50% using it every day.

"But it's only been a few years since the AI gene was excited, right. So that's how it started, so people started, you could say, their adoption is getting faster and more," he added.

This optimism shows a clear direction for organizations that seek to build a healthier and more productive work environment.

This study also shows how technology plays an important role in building healthier work relationships. Where employees feel twice as likely to have healthy work relationships when they are equipped with the appropriate tools and technology.

This possibility even increased fivefold when employees saw that their company was actively investing in their development.

In Indonesia, 64% of workers who report having healthy work relationships use AI tools provided by their companies every day.
