Nvidia Releases New AI Supercomputer Platform And Announces Plans For AI Product Expansion

JAKARTA - On May 28, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced the company's plans to release more AI products while speaking at Computex events in Taiwan. Huang introduced a new AI supercomputer platform called DGX GH200. This supercomputer is designed to help technology companies develop ChatGPT's successor, a popular AI chatbot.

Big tech companies like Google's Microsoft, Meta, and Alphabet are expected to be the first users of this supercomputer tool.

Huang also announced a new service called Nvidia ACE for Games, which is targeted for the video game industry. ACE will use AI to provide a background character in more personality video games.

In addition, Nvidia plans to partner with WPP, a giant company in the marketing and communications sector, to combine AI and metaverse technologies to reduce advertising costs. Nvidia is also planning a new network scheme that will accelerate the speed of information delivery in data centers.

Although Nvidia is leading the way to generate chips-powerful for AI applications, other companies are also competing to participate in this AI craze.

Recently, Microsoft announced that it is developing their own chips with the capacity to power similar ChatGPT applications.

In China, developers face sanctions from the United States that prohibit access to the latest version of the Nvidia chip. However, local developers are currently trying a combination of chips and other semiconductors to create their own AI development methods.

As AI becomes more accessible and developers continue to launch new products, they are also engaged in talks with policymakers around the world to ensure regulations that allow innovation.

In early May, executives from many major tech companies gathered at the White House with the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, to discuss the dangers of AI. Officials also raised questions to companies, including Nvidia, regarding public evaluation of the AI system.
