Microsoft Team Presents Private Conversation Feature Called the ‘Together’ Mode

JAKARTA - In fulfilling office activities virtually, people now recognize two main products. Namely Slack and Microsoft Team. These two platforms have been used by many companies to make Work From Home (WFH) more comfortable and productive.

However, nearly a year ago, Microsoft announced its intention to add features to the personal needs of users. The goal, of course, is for Microsoft Team to meet various needs, including instant communication with family or friends.

After so long there has been no news, Microsoft has finally announced that the Teams platform is now able to meet personal needs. Do you think the feature is easier to use than Zoom and Google Meet which were already famous, huh?

New Microsoft Teams Features

If you've never tried Teams, this Microsoft-made platform has major services like Slack and Discord. Examples include video calls, chats, and integrating with other platforms to open files that are being worked on.

In an announcement that the company shared last Tuesday, it was explained that Teams is now able to meet users' personal needs. An example is the Together Mode, which is a modification of the video calling service.

Through the Together Mode, video call participants can feel the sensation of being in the same environment virtually. According to Microsoft, these modifications could reduce video calling fatigue - the type of fatigue that afflicts many employees during a pandemic.

"Because your brain does not have to work as hard as a standard video call", said Microsoft quoted from Endgadget, Thursday, May 20.

Another personal feature that is no less exciting is providing feedback using Live Emojis and GIFs during video calls. Not only that, but Microsoft also said that users don't have to worry about shared links that can't be used via other devices. The reason is, one link from Microsoft Teams can be accessed via PC, Mac, and smartphone.

In addition to features for personal users, Microsoft has also added a new organizational management feature to its platform. Like sharing a to-do list via group chat, as well as sharing something in the group.

Indeed, some of the features are fairly standard. We can find it on other similar platforms. It's just that, this addition made by Microsoft promises easy access for users.

What is clear, it seems that the company will continue to add supporting features to the Teams platform.
