JAKARTA Qualcomm Technologies introduced two of its newest processors to the Indonesian market. This innovation includes the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform and the Snapdragon X2 Elite Series for Windows-based PCs.

The launch in Indonesia is a continuation of the global announcement held at the Snapdragon Summit 2025 event in Hawaii. The main focus of these two processors is performance and power efficiency. This innovation is strongly supported by the ability of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on-device.

These two platforms are ready to be implemented in the Indonesian market to accelerate digital transformation. This innovation will have an impact on various sectors, ranging from mobile technology to personal computing.

"Through the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the Snapdragon X2 Elite Series, Qualcomm is ready to provide relevant, efficient, and ready-to-use technology solutions for local industries," said Dominikus Susanto, Senior Manager of Business Development Qualcomm Indonesia, reported on Thursday, October 9.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is claimed to set new standards for mobile performance. This processor brings an increase in CPU performance of up to 20 percent and power efficiency of up to 43 percent better than the previous generation.

This mobile processor is powered by 3rd Gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU with speeds up to 4.6 GHz. This advanced multi-core architecture also has a capacity of 12MB cache per cluster. This platform is fully integrated with Qualcomm AI Engine to support direct-generative AI on devices.

Snapdragon X2 Elite Series

For PCs, Qualcomm presents Snapdragon X2 Elite and Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme. This processor uses Qualcomm Oryon CPUs up to 18-cores with ultra-efficient 3nm architecture. This processor offers a 31 percent faster performance with a 43 percent lower power consumption than its predecessor.

The main advantage lies in the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU with processing up to 80 TOPS. This capability makes it the fastest NPU in the world for laptops. Users can enjoy experiences such as real-time creative editing and full integration with the Copilot+ PC without requiring a cloud.
