Spotify Now Integrated In ChatGPT, Can Ask For Any Song Recommendations

JAKARTA - Spotify announced that starting today, Spotify Free and Premium users can request live personalized music and podcast recommendations in ChatGPT conversations.

"After connecting Spotify accounts to ChatGPT, you can request a new song from your favorite K-Pop star or playlist featuring all the Latin artists you listen to frequently," the company wrote in its announcement on Monday, October 6.

The method is quite easy, you just need to start a conversation on ChatGPT and mention Spotify in your prompt. When you first do, you will be asked to connect your Spotify account.

After that, just ask for songs, artists, albums, playlists, or podcast episodes. ChatGPT will automatically display the Spotify app in your chat. You can also ask for recommendations based on certain moods, themes, or topics.

From there, Spotify will display personalized options into the conversation. You can directly tap on one of the options and the ChatGPT will automatically open the Spotify app.

Spotify Free users can access popular playlists like Discover Weekly and New Music Friday, while Premium users can enjoy more personal recommendations according to their genre and preferences.

This integration is optional, where users can connect or disconnect accounts at any time. This new feature is already available in 145 countries in English, for all ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro users on the web as well as mobile applications.
