JAKARTA Comet, the agency's Artificial Intelligence (AI) browser, has been officially launched for free by Perplexity. This web search platform is expanded to all parts of the world, including Indonesia.

The browser was first launched on a limited basis on July 9. Initially, Comet was only available to customers who paid hundreds of dollars per month, but now its browser is starting to expand due to high demand.

The company claims that millions of people have joined the waiting list for access to Comet since the browser was introduced. This makes Comet one of the most searched AI products this year.

"People like Comet," Perplexity said in its broadcast, quoted on Friday, October 3. "We want everyone to have a choice to use Comet. Starting today, you can download it for free."

Comet is a browser that offers a browsing experience, but with AI as the core of its operations. This browser is integrated with Perplexity's AI search tools and AI's personal assistants.

Comet's work system is also called different from traditional browsers that are only affixed by AI. Comet is designed to 'explor the web together' to make it easier for users to do complex tasks.

To maintain the confidence of its users in using Comet, Perplexity promises that the browser will be free forever. For the paid version, Perplexity introduces Comet Plus which is priced at 5 US dollars (IDR 83 thousand) per month.

Comet Plus provides access to curated news content from partners such as CNN, The Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times. If you're interested in using Comet, this browser can be downloaded directly on Perplexity.ai/comet.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
