JAKARTA The Gemini app now has a new ability to process audio files. This feature allows users to quickly upload and analyze voice recordings.
This new feature was announced by Google Labs Vice President and Gemini Josh Woodward. Through his X account, Josh said that this feature comes at the bottom of a user request. In fact, uploading audio files is the number one request.
With the presence of this audio file upload feature, the flexibility of the Gemini application is now increasing. The good news is, this feature is available to all users, both free and subscribing.
Both are limited by Google. The difference is, free Gemini users can only upload audio files up to ten minutes a day. This means that users can upload several times for a total duration of up to 10 minutes.
However, free users can only upload five times. If the total duration has not been reached in 10 minutes, users still cannot upload audio if they have reached the limit five times.

Meanwhile, AI Pro and AI Ultra users get more flexibility. They can upload audio files for up to three hours. The uploaded file limits are also different from free users.
All users can upload up to 10 files at once in various formats, including ZIP. This facilitates the process of analyzing large amounts of audio data.
The launch of this feature is part of a series of innovations that Google has made. Previously, Gemini had been updated to remember the details and user preferences of previous conversations.
