Fortnite Coming To iOS Devices In October

JAKARTA - The feud between Epic Games and Apple is still not over until now. In that case, not only both of them feel disadvantaged, but also gamers who can no longer play Fortnite games on their iOS devices.

However, currently, there is a solution, where iOS users who want to play Fortnite games can use a third-party application, namely GeForce Now. Since the feud between the two companies is not over yet, the Fortnite game is not yet available on the App Store.

Gamers can play their games by taking advantage of cloud computing on iOS devices using the service. And Fortnite is confirmed to be present in October.

"We are looking forward to providing a mobile Fortnite cloud streaming experience that is supported by GeForce Now. Members can search for these games on iOS Safari in the near future," said GeForce Now as quoted by Wccftech, Sunday, May 9.

Please note, this is not the best scenario for gamers to play their favorite games on Apple devices using third-party applications. But, at least this way they can still enjoy the game anywhere.

Since Apple restricted cloud gaming applications on iOS, NVIDIA has launched GeForce Now which is a web-based platform for cloud gaming. After being removed from the App Store, GeForce NOW will be the first platform to allow users to play Fortnite on iOS.

The GeForce Now service can now stream via iOS Safari, although it's still in beta but it can be used starting today. This means that gamers can play AAA games that are in the NVIDIA library on their smartphones.

Previously it was reported that the dispute between the two companies began when Apple boycotted Fortnite from the App Store last year after Epic Games released an update that avoided sharing revenue with the cellphone manufacturer.

Apple doesn't allow users of its popular devices to download apps from anywhere except the App Store, and developers have to use Apple's payment system which cuts up to 30 percent of revenue.
