JAKARTA In early April, Google said that NotebookLM will be available in the form of applications on Android and iOS. Now, Google is leaking the launch date and design of the application.
According to a 9to5google report, the NotebookLM app will consist of multiple tabs. At the top, users will see the Latest, Distributed, Titled, and Downloaded tabs. At the bottom, users will see a list of notebooks with the play button.
If turned on, users will launch Audio Overview, one of the features Google has highlighted on this Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform. The app offers background playback and playback with offline downloaded audio.
When a user turns his notes into an interesting topic hosted by an AI host, users can discuss or ask any questions. This is a smart way if the user is in need of a learning friend.
Meanwhile, still on the main page, users will see the floating action button with added icons. Of course, the function is to add the desired material. Users can upload various topics from various media.
SEE ALSO:
There is an option to upload with PDF, website, YouTube video, or even paste the text written by the user himself. The upload of this source or material will be limited.
To facilitate the distribution of sources, Google will add the NotebookLM logo in the third-party application's Share pad section. That way, users don't need to switch apps just to upload the required sources.
The NotebookLM application has been seen on the App Store and Google Play Store with a coming soon description. This application will be launched in beta before launching on May 20, to be precise when Google I/O 2025 is held for the first day
