JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) officially announced its new partnership with the entertainment platform Netflix. Through this collaboration, Telkomsel and Indihome users can directly access the Netflix service.
Telkom's Director of Wholesale & International Service, Dian Rachmawan said, Telkom and Netflix have conducted a series of productive discussions to understand each other that the consumer experience is a shared priority. The two parties also agreed to explore network cooperation that aims to provide the best digital entertainment experience for customers in Indonesia.
"This cooperation will improve service quality compared to what we have today and will positively impact domestic bandwidth optimization. In the future, all Telkom and Telkomsel subscribers in Indonesia will be able to enjoy premium quality services as a result of the cooperation between Telkom and Netflix", said Dian in his written statement, Thursday, April 29.
According to Dian, video streaming services can dominate bandwidth consumption by up to 70 percent of total internet traffic. So that Telkom continuously increases network capacity to anticipate the increase in video streaming traffic.
