Welcoming Ramadan, Telkomsel Expands 5G Hyper Coverage In Jabotabek

JAKARTA - At the moment of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2025, Telkomsel ensured the readiness of customer networks in the country, when data and internet traffic is predicted to increase at that moment.

"At the moment of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2025, Telkomsel again ensures that our network is ready to accompany customers' special moments, various efforts such as ensuring network readiness, determining crowd points using AI, as well as various product promos and CSR being run," said Telkomsel Network Director, Indra Mardiatna.

In addition, Telkomsel is also expanding the coverage of the Hyper 5G massively in Jabotabek, where the ecosystem of its 5G devices and needs is more mature.

In developing the 5G network, Telkomsel successfully held more than 1,400 BTS 5G in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabotabek). Thus, customers can enjoy high-quality internet connections in main business areas, transportation centers, residential areas, to tourist destinations in Jabotabek.

As of March 2025, it was recorded that 5G handset penetration in Jabotabek had reached more than 30 percent, with an average monthly 5G data consumption of 30 GB per user.

The massive expansion of Telkomsel's Hyper 5G network coverage in this region has improved the user experience with a maximum download speed of up to 500 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 110 Mbps.

"Telkomsel believes the importance of the 5G network in accelerating Indonesia's progress, including making Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr the best moment for everyone, every house, and business activities," added Indra.

In addition, Telkomsel also presents uninterrupted connectivity, utilizes AI technology in the autonomous network (Autonomous Network) to determine 476 crowded points, to provide RAFI Alert Posts.
