Tencent Cloud Announces Third Data Center Development Plan In Indonesia

JAKARTA Tencent Cloud Day, an event that prioritizes cloud solutions, Artificial Intelligence (AI), to fintech, was successfully held in Indonesia on February 17. The event presents well-known experts and experts.

Several partners attended the event, including GoTo, Telkomsel, Allo Bank, Bank DKI, DANA, Ruangguru, Everywhere.id, and many more. At this event, experts discussed AI, fintech, and solutions for gaming.

Through this event, Tencent Cloud emphasized its commitment to supporting local companies and expanding cloud capacity in Indonesia. The cloud provider even announced plans for the construction of a third data center in the country.

With the construction of this data center, Tencent Cloud wants to provide the latest infrastructure services that can complement data centers operating globally. All of these data centers will serve more than 50 availability zones covering 21 regions in various countries.

"Tencent Cloud remains dedicated to empowering local companies to encourage innovation, increase competitiveness, and achieve business targets with advanced cloud, AI, and media solutions," said Dowson Tong Senior Executive Vice President, Tencent and CEO, Cloud and Smart Industries Group (CSIG).

Dowson also explained that the construction of the latest data center in Indonesia is based on advances in digitalization and the population that continues to prioritize technology. The hope is that cloud services from Tencent can support business development in Indonesia.

"Our decision to build a third data center in Indonesia is based on a dynamic economic climate and a digitally literate Indonesian population. These two things will form the basis for the development of a business center and innovation," explained Dowson.
