JAKARTA Smart glasses with camera support are commonplace after being launched by Meta. However, earbuds with camera support is something new, especially for Apple.

The technology company wants to create a new breakthrough by developing cameraed AirPods. The idea is to increase the function of AirPods so that these earbuds are not only regular audio devices, but also sophisticated tools that can help users.

Since launching the iPhone 16 series, Apple has introduced a new feature called Visual Intelligence. This technology is able to learn the environment, understand what it looks at, and help users take action based on the physical context.

According to a Bloomberg report, this kind of technology will be embedded in the latest generation AirPods. Apple wants to develop a more sophisticated AirPods Pro with the support of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cameras so users can directly ask Siri.

This year, Apple will introduce the latest AirPods and this camerad AirPods will not enter its launch lineup. Apple is still making the prototype. Most likely, the AirPods Pro with the camera will be present in 2027 as a companion to Vision Pro.

Apple's Augmented Reality (AR) glasses are expected to have low battery power and be able to connect to Apple devices. Unfortunately, these glasses drain too much power when connected to an iPhone or Mac.
