JAKARTA - Indonesia and India are further strengthening strategic partnerships in the digital economy through the 3rd Meeting of Indonesia-India CEO of the Forum which was held at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, this week.
In the forum, the Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Ismail, emphasized that cooperation between Indonesia and India is a real step to create a high competitive digital ecosystem in the global arena.
According to him, the two countries, including Indonesia and India, are two major economic powers with extraordinary digital potential.
"This Forum is proof that we are not only preparing for a digital future, but also a major player who has an effect and plays a role in the development of world technology," Ismail said as quoted on Thursday, January 30.
Ismail also emphasized the importance of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India.
The MoU includes three main areas of artificial intelligence (AI) development and new technologies, strengthening public digital infrastructure such as digital identity systems, as well as developing a digital ecosystem involving startups, collaboration between businesses, and improving human resource skills in the field of information technology.
"This MoU is a concrete commitment to accelerate technology integration in both countries. Indonesia and India will be increasingly connected in various digital sectors, creating innovations that can compete with world technology giants," he said.
