JAKARTA The alleged perpetrator who blew up the Tesla Cybertruck in front of the Trump International Las Vegas Hotel on New Year's Day is known to have used the popular ChatGPT chatbot to plan the explosion. This was revealed in a police statement on Tuesday, January 7.
According to police official, the perpetrator, identified as Matthew Livelsberger (37), an active soldier from Colorado Springs, used the ChatGPT to determine the amount of explosives needed to trigger the explosion.
Authorities confirmed that this incident was a single action and stated that Livelsberger was most likely experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The FBI said that the incident was an act of suicide.
"What is very important, we have clear evidence that the perpetrators used ChatGPT artificial intelligence to help plan the attack," Sheriff Kevin McMahill of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police told a news conference.
This incident is referred to as the first case on United States soil where the ChatGPT was used to help design explosive devices.

The FBI confirmed there was no direct link between the Cybertruck incident and a truck attack on New Orleans that killed more than a dozen people some time ago. The FBI also stated that Livelsberger had no grudge against US President-elect Donald Trump.
During the investigation, authorities found a six-page manifesto on Livelsberger's cellphone which is currently being studied further. The Cybertruck explosion also left seven people lightly injured
