JAKARTA - Ahead of the official opening of CES 2025, Google announced that the Gemini model will be present on Google TV. By presenting " Gemini model" to television devices, Google aims to make interactions with TV more intuitive and useful.
This step follows in the footsteps of Gemini's application to phones, tablets, and headphones. It was also reported today that Gemini will be present on the Wear OS smartwatch.
According to Google, this feature will facilitate media searches, as well as allow users to ask questions about topics such as travel, health, space, history, and others. Search results, such as "best places for summer vacations in Asia," can include YouTube videos.
Interestingly, users will still interact with "Google Assistant" on TV. This is similar to the increase in Gemini-powered Google Assistant which is being tested on Nest Mini and Audio devices. LLM (large language model) allows for a more in-depth and AI-based answer for various topics of general knowledge.
In addition to more natural sounds, users can ask further questions and interrupt responses to ask new questions.
