JAKARTA - For many people, food is not just a matter of taste. This is a form of memory, identity, and even legacy. There is even a kind of attraction in exploring culinary delights that seem to keep the story.
Currently, not a few young people are not only looking for culinary delights viral on social media or appearing trendy in modern cafes, but also places to eat that have been secretly persisting for decades, serving a feeling that remains consistent and full of memories.
Especially in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta, which continues to grow, there is an endless culinary wealth of simple stalls to iconic dining places that color the daily lives of their citizens for decades.
In celebration of Summarecon's 50-year journey, an initiative titled The Gading Archive (TGA) was attended, which became a kind of "capsul of culinary time".
More than just culinary exploration, appearing as an effort to maintain these values, making it a life archive that can be enjoyed across ages. Through exhibitions, flavor exploration, to interactive activities, TGA invites people to explore the flavors that have become part of life in the Summarecon Kelapa Gading area.
"Culinary is not just a business, but part of a cultural heritage that brings together the community," said Soegianto Nagaria, Director of Summarecon.
One of the highlights of The Gading Archive is its culinary categorization that invites visitors to dive into various layers of the world of flavor.
There are legendary restaurants such as Bakmi Tan, Gado-Gado AA, and Warung Tofu, names that have existed for more than two decades and become part of the daily life of residents of *Kelapa* Gading.
But not only nostalgia, visitors are invited to know places to eat, which so far may only be known as mouth-to-mouth, such as and only in Kelapad Gading in the Only in Gading category: Martabak Bong Ngian, Bakso Ragil, to Sate Afrika H. Ismail Coulibaly. It feels authentic, the atmosphere is simple, but the sensation left behind is so imprinted.
For those who always want to try something 'different', *TGA also wants to invite collaboration in the Local's Choice category, namely * displaying a growing culinary choice with tastes * and recommendations * local residents, such as Ippeke Komachi, Nasi Uduk Field Tennis, and Unannk Juice.

TGA not only pampers the tongue, but also stimulates curiosity and creativity. In the exhibition area which took place at GAFOY, Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading from May 24 to June 29, 2025, visitors can enjoy exhibition photography and videos from 20 selected tenants curated with a personal narrative.
The stories behind the kitchen, the struggle to survive in the midst of change, and the love that is poured into each recipe is the main dish.
"There are also activities of DIY such as making acrylic key hangers, mixing their own coffee drops, to mixing Indonesian-style spices. Then the Passport Food Tour, an interactive program where visitors can collect stickers from each tenant and exchange them for various attractive merchandise," concluded Soegianto.
