Breaking The Record, NASA Flys Space Wahana Near The Sun

JAKARTA Wahana Surya Parker who is in space is in good condition and operating normally, according to a NASA report. Therefore, this vehicle is starting to get closer to the Sun.

Since last December 24, on Christmas Eve to be precise, the spacecraft flew 6.1 million kilometers from the surface of the Sun. NASA says that as long as Parker approaches the Sun, contact with the ground team will be cut off for several days.

Despite the interruption, Parker will continue to record the data scientists need. This spacecraft will send voice signals again on Friday, December 27. Until now, NASA has not disclosed whether the vehicle has given the latest signal.

"This is one example of NASA's daring mission," said Arik Posner, Wahana Program Scientist Surya Parker some time ago. "We can't wait to receive the first status update from the spacecraft and start receiving science data."

Parker is the first spacecraft to dare to get closer to the Sun. The spacecraft, which is part of NASA's Living With a Star program, is designed to explore aspects of the Sun system with Earth.

The sun is difficult to observe at very close distances as this star is very hot and emits quite high radiation. Not many rides are able to survive near the Sun, but Parker will break the stigma.

"No man-made object has ever crossed this close to the star. So, Parker will really send data from areas that have not been mapped," said Nick Pinkine, Wahana Mission Operations Manager Surya Parker. "We are very happy to hear the news from the spacecraft when it returns around the Sun."
