Kaspersky Q3 2024 Report: Indonesia Is In The 103rd Position In The World With The Most Cyber Attacks

JAKARTA - Kaspersky's global cybersecurity company has just launched its security report for the third quarter of 2024, which shows various cyber threats around the world, including Indonesia.

In the report, Kaspersky revealed that as many as 4,616,837 web-based attacks were detected and they managed to block them. This number then put Indonesia in the 103rd position with the most cyber attacks worldwide.

According to the company, this increasingly sophisticated threat is because threat actors have evolved to obscure malicious codes to bypass static analysis and emulation.

Cyberattack will continue to target individuals and businesses in various forms and sizes. It is a good development that businesses and consumers progressively embrace digitalization, said Yeo Siang Tiong, General Manager for Southeast Asia and Asian Developing Countries in Kaspersky.

Thus, protection against these threats requires reliable and powerful security solutions that utilize proactive ML-based methods and behavioral analysis in detecting and fending off real-time attacks.

In addition, in the third quarter of this year Kaspersky products also detected 9,307,255 local incidents on KSN participant computers in Indonesia, placing the country in 69th position globally.
