JAKARTA - Ahead of the holiday season, Google Maps launched a number of new features, including the ability to report delays in public transportation. Now, when users see a transport station on Google Maps, they will see a new "Report Delay" button that allows users to choose a late track.

On the same page, users will also see a yellow card that says 'Delay' which shows the number of delay reports. Other users can confirm whether the delay is still happening. Apart from user reports, Google will also display delay information obtained from local transportation agencies.

Other new features available for Android Automotive users in vehicles such as Steam Tahoe, Suburban Economy, and 2024 GMC Yukon are the ability to enter cargo sizes if they carry additional trailers or equipment. With this feature, Google Maps will provide routes that avoid low bridges or tunnels that are not appropriate.

In addition, Android Automotive users can now plan a complete journey with a charging point directly from the phone and send it to the car. For users who do not know the type of plug in their vehicle, simply enter the brand and vehicle model in the Maps app, and Google will automatically display a compatible charging station.

Another development launched is the ability to search for goods and find nearby stores that have stock. This feature will include items such as household needs, electronics, clothing, and products from grocery stores. Similar to specific food search features in restaurants, users can now look for certain products in nearby stores.
