Netizen Are Mad On Twitter, Instagram Down Again

JAKARTA - Social media services Facebook and Instagram were reportedly down. The disruption of social services occurred globally at around 04.30 WIB.

On Twitter, the hashtag #instagramdown became one of the trending topics with more than 71.9 thousand tweets. Users reported not being able to refresh the front pages of both social media, including Indonesian netizens.

"The configuration change caused the Facebook service to be unavailable to some people", Facebook said via Twitter.

Launching Endgadget, Facebook said a configuration change caused the service to be unavailable to some users in some regions. The company claims Facebook and Instagram services are rapidly recovering.

This isn't the first time these services have collapsed in the past month. As of last March, similar complaints had occurred, with many users reporting Instagram was showing an "error" or "couldn't refresh" pop-up.

Before the service gradually recovered, the down detector site noted there were hundreds of reports of the collapse of Facebook and Instagram services. Nearly 150,000 people reported problems on two social networks owned by Mark Zuckerberg.
