JAKARTA - In some cars, you can connect your Apple device directly to the car with the CarPlay feature. That way, you can stay focused on driving.

However, if you just want to activate CarPlay in your vehicle, follow the following steps to make it easier:

How to set CarPlay

First, make sure to start your car first, then make sure Siri is active. After that, connect your iPhone to your car, in the following way:

If your car supports CarPlay with a USB cable: you only need to connect your iPhone to the USB port in your car. USB ports may be labeled with a CarPlay icon or a smartphone icon.

If your car supports CarPlay either wirelessly or with a USB cable: Connect your iPhone to a USB port in the car. When you try to connect the iPhone again to CarPlay, a warning will appear on your iPhone to connect it to the wireless.

If your car only supports wireless CarPlay: Press and hold the sound command button at the wheel. Make sure your stereo is in wireless or Bluetooth mode.

Then on iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and make sure Wi-Fi is on. Tap the CarPlay network, and check if Auto-Join is turned on. Then, go to Settings > General > CarPlay, and select your car.
