Dragon Aircraft For Crew-9 Mission To Be Relocated From Space Station

JAKARTA NASA will launch its 31st commercial supply service mission using the SpaceX spacecraft. Previously the vehicle took off, the Dragon aircraft would be relocated from the space station.

According to a NASA explanation in its latest report, the plane carrying four Crew-9 members will be moved to a different dock port on November 3. This relocation will be carried out by the four crew.

The transfer of Dragon's aircraft position will be broadcast live through NASA Plus channels or NASA's official social media. After the docking process is complete, the broadcast will be immediately stopped.

Initially, NASA astronauts, Nick Hague, Suni Williams, and Butch Wilmore, as well as Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov will remove the spacecraft from the front port in the Harmony module at around 06.35 am local time.

Once released, the Dragon spacecraft will be directed to re-enter the space-covered module port. During the relocation, the on-ground NASA team will support using the controller.

"The relocation is supported by flight controllers at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston and the Mission Control team at SpaceX inwakit, California," NASA said. "(kru) will free the port facing Harmony's front."

This is the fifth relocation carried out by expedition crews while on the International Space Station (ISS). Apart from Crew-9, four other missions have relocated Dragon aircraft, namely Crew-1, Crew-2, Crew-6, and Crew-8.
