Sidak 21 Titik Penitipan Motor, Pemkot Bogor Temukan Masalah Pajak dan Trotoar

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) continues to increase the Regional Original Income (PAD) from the parking sector, one of which is through enforcement and optimization of motor deposit service tax along Jalan Mayor Oking, Central Bogor District.

Deputy Mayor of Bogor Jenal Mutaqin conducted a sampling test by inspecting 21 motor storage points on Jalan Mayor Oking, precisely across the Bogor Station, Wednesday, August 12 afternoon. This step was taken to ensure that all potential taxes from motor storage businesses are recorded and entered into the regional treasury.

"We check the tax obligation for motor custody that must be entered into the regional treasury. From the results of the findings in the field, there are indeed several things that must and need further follow-up," said Jenal Mutaqin after the inspection.

Jenal said that from the results of the check, a number of motor deposit business managers were found who had not been registered as Taxpayers (WP). This condition is considered potentially causing a loss of Bogor City PAD revenue.

In addition, officers found discrepancies between the number of motorbikes deposited and the tax deposit that entered the regional treasury. The findings were obtained through manual calculations during an inspection in the field.

"So the next step, we will invite to the City Hall to ensure that all comply with the rules and the cash, the money, the tax is officially entered into the government. So that the impact is converted into development that is beneficial for the people," he explained.

According to Jenal, the Bogor City Government will not only evaluate the taxation aspect, but also ensure the legality of motor consignment businesses operating in the area.

Business owners and managers are also reminded again not to use the sidewalk as a parking area or motorcycle storage location. The sidewalk must remain sterile to guarantee the rights of pedestrians.

"When checked by officers, yesterday there were still some naughty ones, they reported to me. We make sure that they do not use the sidewalk as a commercialized place or a place to be deposited, because the pedestrian is closed," he said.

Jenal said that the arrangement of the Jalan Mayor Oking area will also be strengthened with the use of technology. The Bogor City Government plans to install surveillance cameras or CCTV based on artificial intelligence (AI) that can count the number of vehicles entering the custody location.

"So we want to manage the sidewalk, then we install CCTV based on AI. So the CCTV can directly calculate the number of motorbikes that enter the parking lot. Thank God I have found the IT party who is able to make the CCTV," he continued.

The Bogor City Government hopes that the optimization of supervision can increase compliance with motor deposit managers, prevent potential tax leaks, and ensure that the sidewalk arrangement is in accordance with its function.

Thus, the discipline of the motorcycle storage sector on Jalan Mayor Oking is not only directed at increasing PAD, but also improving parking management and providing a more comfortable and safe space for pedestrians.
