Xiaomi Series 15 Officially Released, Phone With The World's First Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset

JAKARTA The Xiaomi Series 15 was officially introduced globally on Tuesday, October 29. This latest phone is the first device to adopt the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset from Qualcomm.

With 3nm fabrication, this processor has a PC-level double primary core architecture with two second-generation super Oryon nuclei. Overall, processors for these phones have the same foundation as processors specifically designed for PCs.

Xiaomi says that its device has maximum performance thanks to the Qualcomm processor. CPU performance increased by 42 percent and its GPU performance increased by 44 percent. NPU in this processor is also integrated with Xiaomi's HyperAI subsystem smoothly.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro comes in four colors, namely gray, white, green, and liquid silver edition. This device uses an aluminum frame with a slightly curved screen. The device's weight is only reduced by 10 grams from the previous generation, but its capacity has increased to 6100mAh.

To bring the best photos, Xiaomi is back in collaboration with Leica through three different lenses. Meanwhile, for telephoto lenses, Xiaomi uses the Sony IMX858 sensor which was previously used at Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi 15 comes in four different colors, namely black, white, green, and purple. The four of them use glassy materials with sandblasting like fireboards so that they feel smooth when touched, but still textured.

The Xiaomi 15 is also present in a special color, namely liquid silver edition. This device is equipped with a glass panel that has a textured ripple effect. In terms of batteries, the capacity is 5400mAh with support for HyperCharge 90W and HyperCharge wireless 50W.
