JAKARTA AMD, a semiconductor company from the US, revealed that it will launch the latest 4 generation RDNA components. This GPU component will be released early next year.

AMD CEO Lisa Su, in this year's third-quarter AMD earnings report, said that RDNA 4 has superior performance to the previous generation. In fact, this software has the support of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"We are ready to launch the first RDNA4 GPU in early 2025," said Lisa Su, quoted by The Verge. "In addition to a significant increase in gaming performance, RDNA 4 brings much higher ray tracing performance and adds new AI capabilities."

Although it has been revealed that RDNA 4 will be released next year, AMD did not specify the exact date of its launch. However, a leaker at Chiphell said that this new component would be introduced at CES 2025 in January.

It looks like RDNA 4 will be introduced alongside Strix Halo and Fire Range CPU architecture, Ryzen Z2 handheld gaming chip, and much more. Although AMD will introduce a new device, the company is not sure about its game revenues.

Over the years, games have contributed only two percent of AMD's revenue so the company will focus on new things. Su is determined to make AMD the end-to-end AI leader.

AMD had explained that they wanted to pursue AI needs first and leave their flagship GPUs. That way, the RDNA 4 component may not be able to compete with the GPU made by NVIDIA.
