JAKARTA Just like most companies that adopt or voice the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Coursera believes that this technology can support the Indonesian people from various sides.
Raghav Gupta, Managing Director of Asia Pacific Coursera, said that AI can increase the productivity of its people. In addition, AI can also benefit the economy because state revenues can increase to Rp243 billion thanks to AI.
To support the development of AI-based digital skills, Coursera is trying to help the Indonesian people through the realm of education. This online learning platform can educate workers and students who want to learn.
"How can AI increase education in Indonesia, there are actually two points. First for students, second for professionals in each job," Raghav said exclusively to VOI.
According to Raghav, AI technology learning is very much needed because Generation AI is still new in Indonesia and not many people understand it, especially in the realm of education. Therefore, Coursera wants to help teachers who want to learn about AI.
"Gen AI is still new in Indonesia and not many lecturers or lecturers at universities have mastered how to use AI to be included in the curriculum. Coursera helps create content with more than 500 special classes of Gen AI," said Raghav.
AI Gen Content in Coursera is very diverse because the company partners with various major technology companies, such as Google, IBM, Amazon, Microsoft, and many more.

Raghav explained that developed and large countries in Asia had discussed AI developments. Raghav agreed with the results of his meeting, namely AI will not replace humans, but replace people who do not use AI.
That way, Coursera tries to bring the best class for teachers at universities, for students, as well as for workers. One of the efforts they made was to present an Indonesian-language course. Currently, there are more than 4,000 sources accessible in Indonesian.
