JAKARTA - Argentine President Alberto Fernández, reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. The number one person in Argentina announced he was exposed to the coronavirus shortly after he was vaccinated.

Through a post on his social media accounts, Alberto Fernández has been injected with a Russian-made vaccine called Sputnik V. While the second phase of vaccination will only be carried out on February 11, as reported by Reuters, Monday, April 5.

"At the end of the day, after a fever of 37.3 and a little dizziness, I took an antigen test, which came back positive", Fernández said in a tweet on Sunday, April 4.

The Argentine president admitted that he did not know how he could be infected with COVID-19. The 62-year-old man revealed that his body condition is currently in good health, even though he is undergoing isolation.

"Although I would like to end my birthday without this news, I am in good spirits", said Fernández.

“I am someone who takes good care of myself. If it weren't for the vaccine, I might have had a really bad day", he added.

The country itself is now experiencing the second stage of the coronavirus. The number exposed to COVID-19 in Argentina has also increased.

To date, as many as 2.3 million Argentines have been exposed to COVID-19, which has resulted in as many as 65 thousand people died. The Argentine government has vaccinated as many as 4.1 million of its citizens.
