Samsung Galaxy A36 In Development, Appears On IMEI Database

JAKARTA - After a leak regarding the Galaxy A56, now the first information regarding the Galaxy A36 has emerged. A team from Gizmochina managed to find the Galaxy A36 5G in the IMEI database. Samsung is actively working on two different A series models, namely the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56. Fans are very curious about what these two smartphones will offer.

The Galaxy A56 has been confirmed to use the Exynos 1580 SoC processor. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A36 has started network testing to ensure a smooth user experience.

Samsung continues to work hard to prepare for the launch of the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56. The latest leaked information states that the Exynos 1580 first appeared in the Geekbench test in July. After that, the Galaxy A56 is listed in the IMEI database, indicating that Samsung continues to test its new product.

Two weeks after the Galaxy A56 was revealed, the device was again visible on the Geekbench database with a score of 1341 for single-cores and 3836 for multi-cores. The Galaxy A56 will be powered by the Exynos 1580 processor, which is equivalent to the Snapdragon 888 performance released three years ago.

Now, Galaxy A36 has been listed on the IMEI database with two different model numbers: SM-A366B/DS and SM-A366U. The first model is the global version, while the second is the version to be sold in the US. In addition, the end of "/DS" confirms that this device will have a dual SIM card slot. The name "Galaxy A36 5G" also ensures that this device will be equipped with a 5G chip.

Galaxy A36 Processor Is Still A Mystery

The processor that the Galaxy A36 will use is not yet known. Previously, the Galaxy A35 used Exynos 1380 SoC, and there was speculation that the Galaxy A36 would use Exynos 1480. However, this has not been officially confirmed, as the Galaxy A34 previously used MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC.
