Kaspersky Opens New Transparency Center In South Korea

JAKARTA - Kaspersky announced the opening of its newest Transparency Center in Seoul, South Korea, which reaffirms its commitment to providing the best security guarantees for its products and services.

The Kaspersky Transparency Center in Seoul is the fourth in the Asia Pacific region and will welcome customers and business partners of the company, as well as local regulators in charge of cybersecurity.

Guests will be able to select one of the three review options for their visit, depending on the depth of the required safety assessment:

The Blue Piste offers a general review of Kaspersky's product security and service development processes, as well as data management practices.

Red/Red Piste allows a review of the most important aspects of the source code, assisted by corporate specialists, and provides targeted analysis of certain functionality

The Black Piste' allows visitors to conduct a most comprehensive and comprehensive review of the source code, with the help of Kaspersky experts.

Genie Sugene Gan, Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy, Asia-Pacific-Japan and META regions for Kaspersky, said that Kaspersky's Transparency Center is proof of its commitment to building a more accountable cybersecurity ecosystem.

"By opening up our new transparency center in Seoul, we believe that sharing practices with a wider community can foster greater trust in ICT solutions, as well as contribute to collective efforts to combat global cyber threats," Genie said.

Apart from the Transparency Center, since its launch, GTI Kaspersky has also introduced additional mechanisms to increase digital trust and encourage greater accountability in cybersecurity.

Including relocation of data storage and processing related to cyber threats to Zurich, Switzerland, a review of third parties that are independent of internal processes and engineering practices, launch of the Cyber Capacity Development Safety Training Program, increase of bug bounce prizes, and disclose information about requests received from government, law enforcement agencies, and users for their personal data.
