Google Chrome Launches Tab Group Features To IPhone And IPad

JAKARTA After being released on Android devices, the Tab Group feature containing a collection of tabs is finally available on Google Chrome for iPhone and iPad. This feature is seen in the Chrome mobile app in version 128.

Tab Group creation in Chrome apps for iPhone and iPad is slightly different from Android devices. Usually, users only need to press and shift tabs to other tabs, but Chrome versions of iOS and iPadOS have slightly different methods.

When one of the tabs is pressed for a long time, the user will see the Add Tab option to New Group. If you select this option, the user will be asked to enter the desired group name and color for the tab before tapping the Create Group button.

To add a new tab from outside the group, users must perform the same stage, namely pressing the tab and selecting the Add Tab option to Group. When clicking on the option, users will see a created group and a new group creation option.

This method is indeed inefficient when compared to Chrome for Android devices. Users can drag and remove tabs easily, unlike the iOS or iPadOS version of Chrome. It's unknown why Google doesn't use the same capabilities.

Google will also add the ability to sync Tab Groups on several devices. With this capability, users can easily access Tab Groups when switching from phone to computer.

Integration between mobile and desktop versions of Chrome will improve the user experience of browsing the internet. Google has not explained whether this feature will only be available on Android devices or will also be added to iOS.
