Garmin Indonesia Officially Launches Garmin Edge 1050 With Many New Features

JAKARTA - Garmin Indonesia officially launched Garmin Edge 1050, the latest computer bike designed to improve the cycling experience with a series of feature updates from the previous generation.

"We are very happy and proud to present Edge 10-50 in Indonesia, the brightest computer bike that has a brighter and responsive screen, superior navigation, and community-focused features," said Rian Krisna, Marketing Communication Manager, Garmin Indonesia at its launch event on Saturday, September 7.

The most striking update from Edge 1050 compared to the previous generation was, with a screen resolution of 480x800 pixels, Edge 1050 comes with a 3.5-inch LCD TFT screen that is responsive and brighter and even in the sun.

Furthermore, Edge 1050 offers a special battery life of up to 20 hours in intensive use with all modes enabled, even up to 60 hours in power-saving mode.

In addition, Garmin also presents a new feature that gives rise to cyclists reporting if there is a danger to other cyclists, such as fallen trees, potholes, and so on. This feature is similar to the add report feature on Google Maps or Waze.

Direct message features and Challenge Groups

The messaging feature allows you to communicate with friends during the trip, while Group Challenge and leadershipboard features encourage you to improve performance and compete with the community.

Features to support riding trips

Use Trendline Popularity Routing to find the best route most often traversed by other Garmin cyclists, or use pre-loaded Garmin Cycle Maps which includes data on mountain bike lanes around the world from Trailforks.

Cyclists can also use pin drop navigation to send POI (pin') from Apple Maps and automatically receive navigation to that location.

Explore new routes and road conditions

With the On-device Course Creator feature, you can design your dream bicycle path, from smooth highways to challenging offroad paths.

Built-in smart speakers and digital bells

This feature can provide clear verbal navigation, improve your safety during cycling on various road conditions. While digital bells make it easier for you to tell your position to people around or pedestrians.

Warning features

If at any time your bicycle is moved, the device will send a notification to your smartphone. This PIN-protected alarm feature is very useful for providing more security.

Safety features

To add security while cycling, Edge 1050 is equipped with safety features such as LiveTrack and incident detection and is compatible with Garmin Varia's radar and smart lights, as well as satellite inRead3 communicators.

Map managers with Wi-Fi connectivity

You can add, change, or update additional maps via a Wi-Fi connection directly on Edge 1050.

Finally, Garmin Edge 1050 is also equipped with premium performance metrics. Features such as real-time stamina monitoring, wind and stamina data-adapted power guides, as well as CLimbPro, allow motorists to see up or down routes that will be traversed.
