Here's How To Turn Off Message Requests On Discord Servers

JAKARTA Like other social media applications, Discord will filter incoming messages from unknown people to the Message Requests folder. In this folder, users can either receive or ignore the message. However, not a few Discord users forget this feature because they are used to seeing messages that go directly to the Direct Messenger (DM). If you want to see the message directly in DM, you can delete the Message Requests folder. Turn off Requests from Certain Servers If you want to turn off the Message Request feature on a given server, you can disable it by opening the Discord via a computer application or website. After that, search for the server name and click to view the drop-down menu. Next, click Privacy Settings. When the pop-up settings appear, click the button toggle next to the Message Request menu, then tap Done. After returning to the initial view, all messages from accounts that are not friends on the server will go directly to DM. If you use the Discord in the mobile application, you can turn off Message Request by clicking and holding the server icon until the pop-up appears. Next, select More Options, then turn off the Allow Message Request option.

Turn Off Message Requests across All Servers The above option only applies to certain servers, but you can also apply it to all servers. If you want to receive Message Requests anywhere, you just need to open Settings, then click the small gear icon in the lower left corner. Next, go to Privacy and Security and turn off the button toggle in the Enable Message Requests menu from Server Requests that You may Not Know. Finally, confirm your actions before exiting Settings.
