JAKARTA - On Monday, August 19, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo officially inaugurated Angga Raka Prabowo as the new Deputy Minister of Communication and Information.

Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi said that Angga's inauguration as Deputy Minister of Communication and Information to accompany Nezar Patria was because Kominfo had many tasks to complete until the 2019-2024 government period ended, about two months more.

"Because there are four issues that must be worked on quickly in a short time, the first is about architecture and draft regulations regarding the protection of personal data," Budi told the media at the Jakarta Kominfo office.

Furthermore, the second task is about eradicating online gambling, the third is about planning architecture regarding national data and the last is regarding regulations and governance regarding AI for public services.

"The four issues, so it is necessary to add the Deputy Minister of Communication and Information," he said.

As the new Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, Angga is committed to taking full responsibility for the tasks that will be given later. Because according to him, the four main focuses of Kominfo are very important.

"Yes, this is a mandate, we will carry it out responsibly, in a short time, I think today we are coordinating for that acceleration alone, thank you," said Angga.

Angga also conveyed a special message given by President Jokowi regarding his appointment as Deputy Minister of Communication and Information.

"In particular, we help the ministers who are running, we accelerate the elected President, we carry out the mandate as well as possible, that's all," he said.
