Persija Don't Want To Throw Points In The Second Round Of Liga 1, Want To Recruit New Players

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta is in careful preparation to look at the second round of Liga 1 2024/2025. Successfully securing the third position of the standings, the Kemayoran Tigers are determined not to throw away points in every second round match.

In order to maximize appearance, Persija is also trying to get new players on the line who feel they are not optimal. This is as stated by the Director of Persija Jakarta, Mohamad Prapanca.

Previously, Prapanca appreciated Persija's achievement in the first round of Liga 1 2024/2025. He admitted that he was proud of the hard work that Carlos Pena had done as well as his foster children throughout 17 matches.

"I am proud of the hard work of the team in this first round. We managed to be in third place, where it was quite a good position," said Persija Jakarta Director Mohamad Prapanca, quoted from the official website on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

The Kemayoran Tiger Squad ended the first round with 31 points from 17 appearances. The details, nine wins, four draws, and four defeats.

In terms of productivity, Persija is fourth with 25 goals. On the other hand, Rizky Ridho and his friends were ranked fifth in terms of conceding the minimum, which was 16 goals.

With this good record, Persija has a burning ambition to complete the remaining 17 matches with better achievements.

The Kemayoran Tigers are determined to increase their winning numbers and increase goal productivity.

To achieve that target, an evaluation has been carried out so that the team's performance can increase in the second round.

All aspects will be considered in detail, from perfecting the system of defense and attack, to changing the composition of the team.

"However, of course there are some notes that must be corrected immediately. There are still some weaknesses that make us lose points and that should not happen again," said Prapanca.

"We will evaluate the coaching team and players. We want the depth of the Persija squad to be even more ideal to anticipate the summons of the Indonesian National Team, card accumulation, or injury," he said.

Meanwhile, Prapanca also did not rule out the possibility of bringing in new players in the second round for the maximum target set by the team.

Currently, he said that the club is trying to find players who meet the team's criteria.

"Is there a new player? We'll see. The manager and head coach are working to make it happen. To be sure, we want to do our best," said Prapanca.
