Google Play Launches Collection Widgets With App Support

JAKARTA Google launched the Collection widget for the Play Store on July 26 to facilitate access to various new categories. Although it has only been launched a few days, this widget has received an update. Each category from the Play Store, such as Watch, Read, Food, and others will provide recommendations from applications that support Collection. In addition, applications that are integrated with SDK Engage will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Reporting from 9to5google, there are many applications that support Collection, ranging from YouTube, Spotify, Wattpad, Reddit, and much more. These applications are divided based on each category. Here are some of the applications that are already integrated.

Especially for Games, it seems that there are no games integrated with SDK Engage so the options are only limited to YouTube or the Play Store. All apps that support Collection are apps that can be used in the US. In addition to adding application support in Collection views, Google also adds the latest widget from the Play Store. This gadget still features a Collection experience, but with a simpler view. There are three other types of widgets added, namely widgets that display categories with icons, widgets that only display icons in one series, and widgets that display one icon with an added icon to view the whole category.
