Google Officially Announces Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Its Latest Folding Phone

JAKARTA - Google officially announced its newest foldable phone Pixel 9 Pro Fold through a short teaser video linked to Gemini, after previously several leaks about this folding phone circulating on the internet.

In the video, you can see that the lens model is vertically arranged near one side of the cellphone, so that the camera position is partially and does not meet the entire width of the folded device.

While Google has not released its official details about this foldable phone, a leak from the Taiwan National Communications Commission (NCC) found by Android Authority states that this device requires a larger charger.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is predicted to support at least 35W battery charging, higher than the Pixel 8 Pro, which only supports up to 30W.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold series is announced to be launched on Made by Google on August 13. So, let's wait for further information in the future.

Not only the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but the NCC file also introduces another Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Where the Pixel 9 Pro XL, an ultra-premium model, appears to be cheating, while the Pixel 9 Pro has a finishube finish.

The XL model also features a periscopic lens and a possible temperature sensor. The other two cameras look identical to the Pixel 9 Pro.

The placement of buttons on both handsets is also similar. As can be seen in the renders, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL have box designs with firm edges and curved angles.
