Spotify Presents AI DJ In Spanish

JAKARTA Spotify launched the AI DJ feature in February last year. This feature initially only provided a voice variant in English, but now Spotify added a Spanish version. The voice of English for this feature was filled by Xavier Jernigan, a Spotify staff member, while a Spanish version was made by Olivia Quiroz Roa as a senior editor on Spotify. For users who can access this feature, they can choose the desired voice. Audio recordings of these two voice actors will be processed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and featured in the form of comments like on radio. This comment will provide additional contexts or information regarding the song being played. According to Spotify, the AI DJ feature will prevent users from turning to other songs because they want to listen to DJ comments. Based on Spotify's observations, the average user spends more time listening to DJs.

"AI DJ adds a fun moment to your listening experience that will keep you coming back to watch more," Spotify said. In addition to displaying interesting comments, the AI DJ feature is personalized based on user music tastes. Therefore, users can listen to song recommendations until they are finished without changing the AI DJ selection song. This AI DJ feature in Spanish is only available in beta for Premium package users. After being released in the public version, this feature will be available in several Latin American countries such as Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and others.
