PS5 Players Will Be Able To Join The Discord Voice Chat Directly From The PS5 Console

JAKARTA - After several years of partnership, Sony has now launched the ability for PS5 players to join Discord voice chats directly from the PS5 console.

Thus, PS5 players no longer need to open the Discord app. This update will make it easier than ever to quickly enter Discord conversations with other gamers.

How to join Discord chat via PS5

To start, select the Discord tab in Game Base within the PS5 Control Center and select the Discord server or DM group that you want to follow. Then, select the voice channel of your choice.

From there, you will see more details, such as who is already on the chat channel. You will also receive a PS5 console notification when another Discord user calls you, allowing you to join immediately.

Please note that you need to update your console to the latest software system, and also don't forget to link your PlayStation Network kub with Discord.

Starting next week, Sony is also rolling out the ability for players to share the PlayStation Network profile to any messages or social apps. To start, select Split Profile from the PlayStation App or PS5 console to generate sharing links or QR codes.
