JAKARTA - The Head of the DKI Jakarta Directorate General of Corrections Regional Office, Wachid Wibowo, said the success of uncovering the smuggling case in one night showed the strong commitment of the corrections staff in creating a clean prison and detention center environment from drugs.

"The success of the officers in thwarting the drug smuggling attempt at almost the same time is proof that the security system, early detection, and supervision throughout the DKI Jakarta Penitentiary Unit is running well," said Wachid when confirmed, Tuesday, June 16.

Wachid also gave appreciation to all prison and detention center officers who remained on standby, professional, and ethical in carrying out their duties.

Wachid emphasized that the Jakarta Regional Office of the Directorate General of Prisons and Penitentiaries would not provide any space for the circulation of drugs or other prohibited goods in prisons and detention centers.
