X Starts Hiding Likes From Someone's Profile And Posts, Check Now!

JAKARTA - Elon Musk's social media platform, X, seems to have hidden the user Like tab, making it invisible to other people.

Based on VOI observations via Android phones, when you open another user profile on X, you will no longer see a Like tab on their profile. Thus any posts that the person likes will not be visible to other people.

In addition, if you open someone's post, the number of Likes will still be visible. However, you can no longer see which accounts like the post.

The ability to hide this preferred post appears to have been launched in stages, and has been launched in Indonesia.

If you open the X app, you will see a notification pop-up below your screen that reads:

We make Likes personal for everyone to better protect your privacy. Likes more posts will make the "For You" feed better.

If you haven't found the notification yet, you may need to update your X app via the Google Play Store or the Apps Store.

Making Likes more private seems to make it pros and cons. On the one hand, users can get a more private space, but on the other hand it can be a gap for fraudsters.
