JAKARTA Instagram launched the latest limitation feature to organize and limit interactions from unwanted people. This feature can mute interactions from people who are outside the close friends list. Previously, users could only silence incoming messages from new followers or people who are not on the follower list. With this new feature, you can silence incoming messages from everyone, except close friends. Apart from incoming messages, you also only see interactions in the form of tags, likes, mentions in posts or comments columns, and others from people on close friends lists. This feature is very useful if you just want to interact with very close people. This feature only limits interactions, not stop interactions. You can still interact with people outside the close friends list, but you will not receive any interaction notification from such users. This new limit will not be as active all the time as other restrictions. Instagram only activates close friends constraints for four weeks. By the specified time, you should reactivate the constraints.

To enable this feature, you just need to open the Instagram app and tap on the profile to click the hamburger icon in the upper right corner of the screen. After that, select the Limited Interaction menu and select the interaction limit you want to select. There are three limits you can choose, including Accounts that Don't Follow You, Latest Followers, and Everyone Except Your Close Friends. If you just want to receive notifications from close friends, you can activate the last limit option.
