Construction of the 3T regional base transceiver station (BTS), assistance from Bakti Kemkominfo through the Jayapura Regency Communication and Information Office, in Pagai and Kamikaro Villages in Airu District and Marwai Village, Yokari District.

Head of the Jayapura Regency Communication and Information Office Gustaf Griapon said that currently the distribution of equipment for the construction of BTS to the three villages is ongoing.

"We have carried out the cargo to distribute the equipment that BTS will build in Pagai Village, Kamikaro in Airu District," he said, quoting Antara.

His party targets the completion of the BTS construction in two villages in Airu District and Marwai Village, Yokari District for about a month.

"Of course we really hope that with the construction of BTS, people in the three villages can enjoy the internet network even though its use is limited," he said.

He explained that the construction of BTS as a continuation of support from the Ministry of Communication and Information Service, in which Jayapura Regency received 45 locations.

"The construction of the BTS tower had stopped in 2022, where the realization had only reached 42 locations, so the continuation of the 45 target was carried out this year in Pagai, Kamikaro, and Marwai Villages," he said.

He explained that these three villages can be said to be 3T areas because two villages along the Mamberamo River and one village on the coast are facing the Pacific Ocean.

"With the installation of BTS, hopefully it can answer the longing of the people there to be able to use the internet so that they can get information from various sources using only mobile phones or Android," he said.
