JAKARTA - Along with the anticipated launch of the iPad Pro OLED, Apple has also released Magic Keyboard with few updates. This includes a larger aluminum support and trackpad with haptic feedback and finally, line of functions.

The new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro (M4) comes in two colors (black and silver) and two sizes: one for the 11-inch Pro model and one for the 13-inch model. They have prices of US$299 (Rp4.7 million) and US$349 (Rp5.6 million), and like other new iPad Pro models, they are available for booking now, sent next week.

This new keyboard unfortunately is not compatible with the newly announced 11- and 13-inch iPad Air models today or with the previous iPad Pro model. They still use the first generation Magic Keyboard, now called the Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air (M2).

This is the first major revision of the Magic Keyboard iPad Pro since its launch in 2020. It retains its double-celled design and one USB-C port (only for power), raises its hand support to aluminum from plastic, and adds a larger glass trackpad with haptic feedback.

Unlike the original version, now it finally has a line of functions a feature that Apple gives the basic model iPad in 2022 with Magic Keyboard Folio.

Since its launch, Magic Keyboard has helped make the iPad more similar to a laptop, and a better finish and a larger trackpad is not detrimental. But to what extent the iPad is still not like a laptop, it doesn't actually depend entirely on the keyboard, does it?
