Threads Tests Recent Filters To Find Posts Real-time

JAKARTA Threadsingin rivals platform X, formerly known as Twitter, for almost a year. Although its application continues to grow, Threads still lack some important features. One feature that makes Threads a little behind is the result of real-time searches. Currently, Threads only display search results for the top posts, while platform X can display the latest posts. Last year, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri said that Meta does not want to launch a real-time post feature due to security concerns. However, Meta's desire is best proportional to what users want. Therefore, Meta started developing a real-time post search feature with the Latest filter. This feature was seen in January, but Meta said that the feature was accidentally available. Now, Meta launched its feature with a new name, namely Recent. Mosseri confirmed that the feature is being tested for a small number of users, but it did not explain when the feature will be released globally.

"We started testing it with a small number of people so it's easier to find real-time relevant search results. An estimate to hear your response," Mosseri said through his personal Threads account. For some lucky users, they will see Top andRecent filter buttons.Top is the search result for the top post or recommended by Threads, while Recent will display the latest posts. These two filters, in particular Recent, will be very useful for narrowing down the results of the search for posts. If the Top and Recent filters get positive reactions, Meta will launch its features to more users in the future.
