JAKARTA - Meta is rolling out an update for full-screen videoplayers on Facebook with a more consistent design for all types and durations of video, be it Reel, a long video, or Live video.

So, if previously you could only see videos with regular feed-like views, with this update when you click on the video then the video will open in full screen in vertical orientation.

However, even if the video will appear vertically automatically, you will see a new full screen option in most horizontal videos that allow you to flip your phone to watch in the landscape view.

Moreover, you can also easily jump to the part you are most interested in using the shift in duration at the bottom of the player, similar to on YouTube and TikTok.

Updated full-screen videoplayers will also have new controls to roll out in the next few weeks, which will give you the ability to watch videos at your disposal. The company will also increase the number of Reels displayed on Facebook.

Meta confirms that the updated video player will launch for the first time on iOS and Android in the US and Canada, and globally in the coming months.
