JAKARTA - Judge in San Francisco USA on Monday, March 25, rejected X Corp's lawsuit against a non-profit group that has criticized the increase in hate speech on social media platforms formerly known as Twitter since Elon Musk took over.
US District Judge Charles Breyer in San Francisco granted a request for removal by the Center for Countering Digital Hate, saying that it appeared Musk was targeting the nonprofit because he did not like what he represented.
"It is impossible to read the lawsuit and not conclude that X Corp is much more concerned about the CCDH speech than the data collection method," Breyer wrote in a 52-page decision.

X sued the non-profit in July, saying the agency violated user contracts by improperly taking and selecting data to make false and misleading reports that Musk allowed X to be a haven for hate speech, extremism, and misinformation.
According to the lawsuit, the "takum campaign" of the nonprofit was intended to expel advertisers, and cause losses of tens of millions of dollars.
Lawyer X did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Digital Hate Center for Countering lawyers had no immediate comment.
