JAKARTA - Social networking service company Meta assesses Vietnam has the potential to become a 'naga' in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) thanks to its strong determination, entrepreneurial spirit, and open government policies.
Director of Public Policy for Southeast Asia at Meta Group, Rafael Frankel said, Vietnam's economy has shown a remarkable transformation over the past 23 years.
Frankel attributed the growth to the immovable spirit of Vietnamese society and increasingly open government policies, particularly in the field of technology, including collaboration with countries such as the United States and the American business community.
While acknowledging Vietnam's progress, he stressed the importance of maintaining open government policies in order to attract global investors and technology companies. He also reaffirmed Meta's commitment to supporting Vietnamese companies in encouraging innovation and advancing AI technology and semiconductor technology.
"The government (Vietnam) must remain open and continue to be a place where investors and technology companies from all over the world want to come and do business," he said during a conference at the Vietnam 2024 Innovation Challenge press conference, quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 24, which was confiscated by Antara.
