Mr. Bitcoin Whale. 100 Makes Crypto Market Geger

JAKARTA - In the midst of a wave of speculation and mystery, a figure known as 'Mr. 100' has become the center of attention in the crypto world. This figure is known to have 52,996 BTC Bitcoins worth around Rp54.6 trillion. This Whale now occupies the position of the 14th largest owner of the most talked about digital currency.

On March 15, in a shock market movement, Mr. 100 bought no less than 1,000 Bitcoins, which is more than half of the total Bitcoin purchased by the top ten trading funds. This action sparked various theories about the true identity of the crypto whale.

Since the fall of FTX in November 2022, wallets associated with Mr. 100 have been seen receiving Bitcoin regularly. Even more surprising, since February 14, the wallet has added around 100 Bitcoins per day. Related secondary wallet addresses have also been seen gathering 100 Bitcoin groups since 2019, signaling that Mr. 100 has long been involved in Bitcoin accumulation.

Although the identity Mr. 100 is still a puzzle, several theories have been put forward. Some suspect that he may be a financial institution from Hong Kong that is preparing funds for the ETF, or perhaps the Qatari Investment Authority, other Middle Eastern state wealth funds, or even a cold wallet linked to the South Korea Upbit exchange. Not to forget, there are also those who speculate that he may be a tech billionaire whose identity has not been revealed.

blockchain intelligence firm Arkham Intelligence has identified the 'Mr. 100' wallet as a wallet belonging to the Upbit crypto exchange. Further analysis shows that transactions that enter the wallet can be traced back to Upbit.

Crystal Intelligence, another team of analysis, also confirmed that the outflow from the wallet has been directed to the hot wallet Upbit, with several transactions reaching a significant amount of up to 3,000 Bitcoins.
